Etihad Rail reported 120,000 passenger ticket sales in the first 30 days after its official national launch on 30 September. The network joins four cities: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Dhaid and Fujairah.
The operator says more stations are due to open in Al Dhafra, including Madinat Zayed and Liwa on 30 November, with a Sharjah station near University City planned for 2027. For residents and visitors, the figures show the train is becoming a practical way to travel between emirates, with more destinations on the way.
