Al Bithnah Fort: A Landmark Above Wadi Ham

Al Bithnah Fort stands between the mountain ranges of Wadi Ham, overlooking the village’s agricultural oases. Its location explains its importance: the fort helped defend routes towards Fujairah and protect the surrounding community. Fujairah Tourism describes a structure made from rock, coral and mud brick, with towers, defensive openings and a courtyard at its heart. The restored walls offer a striking contrast with the greenery around them. For visitors interested in how geography shaped local history, Al Bithnah is a rewarding heritage stop away from the coast.
