Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization
Explore Islamic art, scientific instruments and cultural history across seven galleries at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization.
Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization brings together art, faith and scientific discovery in seven galleries on the city’s Corniche. The collection includes manuscripts, ceramics, coins, textiles and jewellery, with displays introducing the achievements of Arab scientists and astronomers. Galleries on the upper level follow the development of Islamic arts and crafts over time. Look out for astrolabes, the embroidered curtain associated with the door of the Holy Ka’ba, and the zodiac mosaic inside the central dome. The museum sits just north of the Heart of Sharjah district. Check current admission arrangements and opening hours before visiting.
