Liwa International Festival 2026/27 in Al Dhafra
A 23-day winter festival in Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafra region, running from 11 December 2026 to 2 January 2027, with motorsport, heritage activities and family attractions.
The Liwa International Festival takes place in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi and runs from 11 December 2026 until 2 January 2027. The programme centres on motorsport at the Tal Moreeb dune, including drifting, drag racing, dune bashing, hill climbing and Monster Jam. Liwa Village offers a play park, petting zoo, Ferris wheel, craft souk and dining, with fireworks and drone shows at night. Emirati heritage features falconry, sand wrestling and workshops in perfume making, henna, weaving and coffee. The organiser states that entry to the festival grounds is free, while some sports competitions, VIP areas and special events carry separate fees.
