Ask about artworks with Louvre Abu Dhabi’s AI Companion

A museum visit can spark questions that a short label cannot answer. Louvre Abu Dhabi’s official Google Play listing now describes an AI Companion that lets visitors ask about artworks and explore their stories and context. The listing was updated on 11 August 2026. The free app also offers audio content, podcasts and an interactive gallery map. The museum separately describes Art Scan as a beta feature for bringing artwork information onto your screen. These are useful additions to a visit, but keep the distinction clear: the museum warns that its AI features can produce inaccurate information. Check important details against gallery labels or ask the museum team. Bring your own earphones for the audio guide. Image: Archive photograph of a museum object at Louvre Abu Dhabi, March 2020.
